Le chant antifasciste L’Estaca commence à être sifflé jusqu'à ce qu'une bouche masculine vienne chercher à l'étouffer par un apparent baiser. «L’estaca», traduit ici par «Le pieu» renvoie également au lit pris comme lieu d’une cohabitation qui agit sur les corps. Le chant contre l’oppression, sifflé puis étouffé, devient celui des femmes dans la société patriarcale. La relation ici en jeu devient une négociation pour que ce qui réduit au silence devienne au contraire une caisse de résonance.

The anti-fascist anthem L’Estaca is whistled until a masculine mouth attempts to stifle it with an apparent kiss. «L’Estaca», translated here as «Le pieu» («the stake»), also refers to the bed (in French slang) as a site of cohabitation that acts upon the body. This song against oppression, first whistled then smothered, becomes the voice of women within patriarchal society. The relationship at play becomes a negotiation: an effort to transform that which silences into a sounding board.
