« Happy, happy they that in hell/ Feel not the world’s despite » renverse le processus traditionnel du verre soufflé : ici, c’est le chant lyrique qui dicte la forme et non la forme voulue qui dirige le souffle. Chaque protubérance matérialise ainsi la durée d’une note chantée dans la canne. La sculpture-partition devient alors la trace d’un chant métamorphosé en une mue muette.

«Happy, happy they that in hell / Feel not the world’s despite» reverses the traditional glassblowing process: here, classical singing dictates the form, rather than a predetermined shape directing the breath. Each protuberance thus materializes the duration of a note sung into the blowpipe. The score-sculpture then becomes the trace of a song metamorphosed into a mute molt
